things that Dexter loves and Tune Tuesdays for him.

For the second day of Dexter's awesome week is dedicated to the things Dexter just can't live without. His still too young to have favorite tv shows and the kid will shove just about anything in his mouth so there are only a few things that Dexter just can't go his whole day without having or seeing. But before we get into that press play in the upper right hand corner and listen to Never Grow Up by Taylor Swift. It just about makes me cry every time and since Dexter is my baby this is my song to him.
So, first and certainly foremost is out of Dexter's favorite things are these three: Nouney, Silky and Judy.
Nouney- his pacifier. Pilot wasn't a paci baby so I know we should have taken it away by now but I'm super nervous about it. After his second birthday we are really going to make a game plan to end the nouney phase.

Along with nouney comes Silky- You can't have one without the other. When Dexter was about 7 months old, my mom wanted to give him something comfy to snuggle with at night. She got a silk pillowcase from the bathroom and put him to bed with it. They have been inseparable since and luckily enough, Silky has never been severely lost and we do manage to sneak it away every once in a while to give it a much need wash.

Judy- the poor tortured kitty cat that found her way into Dexter's grasp. We got Judy a few months back. A friend of Dave's had rescued her from a drainage ditch along with her brother and we offered to give her a permanent home. She really is a sassy cat but she has met her match with Dexter and they do not cut each other any slack. But Dexter adores Judy and although she may not admit it, she loves him too. (I caught her sleeping next to him during nap time yesterday :)

Dexter flips at the sight of any vehicles.  He loves them. Every size, shape, color, boat, plane, excavator, you name it. His squeal of delight every time an ambulance passes makes me laugh every time. A very noteworthy favorite.
And last but not least, Dexter loves to be outside. I mean what kid doesn't, right? But I literally have to chase him down and then carry him, kicking and screaming, into the house. He's a caged animal when we are inside.

I hoped you enjoyed learning more about our Flex. More tomorrow!!
Hope you enjoyed the song too.

Tune Thursdays??? What??

Yes I am slacking and I know it. You will notice from me spurts of inspirational genius and then I get discouraged (stupid I know) and then you will notice that I am a bit of a lazy crazy. Any who while listening to my babe, Pandora, I heard a song that I've been in love with for a while now and I just cannot not share it with my beautiful readers. It is called Make you Feel My Love by Adele. I realize that it is shitty quality but I couldn't find it on grooveshark in better quality. Even with the crappy sound, her voice shines through and punches you right in the heart. (in a good way)
Press Play my Loves.

tune tuesdays + apology

Hey sorry I'm a little late in the day but I've been a little stressed/crazy lately with trying to start my business and been working more often lately. But anyway, Tune Tuesday today is to the beautiful Kate Nash with her awesome song from 2007 called Dickhead. I would have picked one from her newish album but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song. I hope you do too.
Isn't she adorable?? Okay I promise to STOP slacking on my blog and you know I will have a post once things get up and running at Octopie @ etsy.
A little teaser: remember I had the stitch itch? Well I took it out on the Beatles.
Have a great night all. Love.

Tuesday, March 1

Happy March 1st!! Today's Tune Tuesday goes to one of my all time favorites, Ingrid Michaelson. She may look ordinary but I assure you, an extraordinary woman with a captivating voice. The song featured today is an older song but one of my favorites. It's from her first album, Slow The Rain, that was released in 2005.
The song is A Bird's Song. Press Play in the upper right hand corner. I hope you enjoy.

Tune Tuesdays today is dedicated to Pilot of course. David was listening to this song a couple of weeks ago and called me right away. We agreed that this was our song to Pilot.
Sky Pilot by Eric Burden and The Animals.
And here is our Sky Pilot, because the sky is the limit.
Love you.

This week's Tune Tuesday goes to the gorgeous voice of Australian jazz-pop singer, Sia, whom I have only learned about recently but have grown to love. If you have not heard of her, I'll let you decide what you think.
My favorite song by her right now is up to the right and you can catch more of her music on her website.

Tuesday, February 8

So I decided Tuesdays would be a great day to talk about the tunes that I jam to. :)
Don't know if any of you remember Megan Joy from season 8 (I think) of American Idol.
I was in love with her voice and awesome tattoos.
She's also a mom. :)
I looked her up today and discovered that she will be coming out with a new cd shortly.
I cannot wait to hear it.
Couldn't find much of her own music on the net but I do love her version of Turn Your Lights Down Low by Bob Marley and Lauryn Hill.
Press Play up to your right and enjoy!!
