Tattoos and Cakes

So for my birthday (which is tomorrow) I celebrated it by getting a tattoo and throwing a cake party. After a two hour work shift, I headed down to Atomic Tattoos in Milwaukee for my appointment with Sam. His did the cover up on my shoulder as seen here. I originally wanted a chest tat but Sam reminded me of how well I sat and that chest tattoos hurt a lot!! So I always wanted to get a tattoo of my late ferret Chief. He was my best friend for seven years. He was the best pet I've ever owned so I wanted to get a tribute to him. I decided to get it on my thigh and 3 painful hours later and it was done.

I honestly never thought that I could sit through a three hour tattoo but I had Mallory there for moral support, and Sam convinced me to keep going. I was going to stop after the black shading but I am extremely glad I didn't. All I had to eat before I got there was a granola bar form Mal's purse. In the last 20 minute stretch I started to feel really faint but I made it through. I definitely felt like a champ afterward!!

Thank you so much Sam. I can't stop staring at it.
If you live in the Milwaukee Area and want an artist who really knows what they are doing go to Atomic Tattoos on 57th and North. Seroiusly, he's amazing.

Then to the cake party, my mom and me had not even baked our cakes yet and after I left the tattoo shop, went and got ingredients and alcohol and made it home, it was 5. The party started at 6. But it was a small event and we were all good friends so I knew it wasn't the end of the world if  i was still making cakes when everyone came. When the rest of the guests got there I was done with the funnel cake but my mom was still busily working hard on hers. Good thing I had friends there to help me set up.
The cakes turned out so great. Everybody's was so different. Mallorina brought the starwberry cake above, she said she used jello in it. All I know is that it was effin amazing! Kristin brought a delicious carrot cake. Probably the best one I've ever eaten. Seriously. Amy brought a yummy oreo cake. Everyone was laughing because we had little plates and mine was piled with everything.
Above is Monica's death by chocolate, so yum. And my stack o funnel cakes with whipped cream and raspberries. I felt so fat after all of this indulging but it was really delicious. (not shown: my mom's miracle whip and coffee cake, never got to try that. I think I will now.)

It was alot of fun just sitting and conversing with my pals. They are all so funny and honest and the conversations we get into are the best!!
I could not have asked for a better birthday, seriously it was amazing. Now I need to rest, to much tattooin, cake and cocktails yesterday. Recovery time. Have a good Sunday everyone!
